Nomination Global Frontier High Dividend Fund

The TCM Global Frontier High Dividend Equity Fund has been nominated again. The fund, which invests globally in high dividend shares in Frontier Markets, has been nominated for the VWD Cash Fund Awards 2018 in the category Equity Emerging Markets.
 
With the VWD Diamond rating the funds that perform the best through all economic cycles are rewarded. Therefore a fund must exist for at least 5 years.

 An important part of the rating is determined by the return, both the absolute return over the past 5 years and the consistency of the return. In addition to the return, the risk that was taken is also important. For this purpose, the volatility will be examined. The risk-adjusted returns will not be used.
 
In order to assess the performance of the fund manager, the alpha that the fund manager achieves will be compared to funds in the same EFCF category. This also counts as a criteria.
 
At last they also take into account the capital conservation. This refers to the absolute losses in months in which the fund performed worse than the risk-free interest rate. The reason is that investing in an investment fund does not only offer the risk of losing your investment, but also of less revenues compared to a risk-free investment.  
 
On March 8 we will know if the TCM Global Frontier High Dividend Equity Fund will again be rewarded for its excellent risk / return characteristics!
