Vietnam’s market bounced back in August, gaining 3.4% for the benchmark compared to 1.7% for the Vietnam fund. Local investors turned positive on the news the U.S. and China were entering into talks to avoid a trade war. On the currency front the Yuan seemed to calm down after a strong devaluation.
